I have this coworker who literally thinks he’s Tarzan. He looks the part he got long greasy hair. Shows up every day in shorts that are basically boxers a tank top and flip flops. No matter the weather. No matter the meeting. That’s just his thing. But it’s not just the outfit. He makes tarzan noises. He’ll randomly walk into my office or down the hallway and let out a full on jungle yell. Like loud “oooh oooh ahh ahh” noises. First time I heard it I thought he was choking. But no. That’s just how he enters a room. Then he starts talking normally like nothing happened. Just casually asks about printer issues or starts a conversation about invoices or scheduling. And it gets better. He constantly brings up Tarzan movies. Like way too often. He’ll stand in my doorway and start ranking them. Talks about how the disney animated one is a masterpiece and how the live action one was a disaster and how people need to give the old black and white ones more credit.
No one else at work seems to care. Meanwhile I’m sitting here trying to get through emails while tarzan is yelling and talking about tarzan movies outside my door.
I don’t know if I should laugh cry or start documenting this for science.

Honestly all of the above. It’s annoying but also turn it around, document it, use him as an art muse. He embraces his weirdness and it works for him.
Man people are so weird and I love it. You should tell him about old Ray Steven’s song Guitarzan; he’d idolize you.
