I’m not on any other social media besides Reddit. It seems like my life is much more enjoyable and calmer than most of the people I know. The ones that have the most chaos in their lives are on multiple platforms that center around attention whoring.
A warm bed and sleeping with not ever having to worry about any concern for my safety. You would be surprised how many people around the world don’t have that pleasure
That first sip of coffee in complete silence before the rest of the house wakes up. No distractions, no demands—just you, the steam curling up from the mug, and the quiet hum of the world still half-asleep. It’s a tiny pocket of peace that feels stolen from time itself.
Close second: freshly washed sheets when you’re just tired enough to appreciate them. Not exhausted, not wired—just perfectly primed to melt into crisp, cool fabric. Pure, uncomplicated bliss…
Some may find this silly or trivial, but the loveliness of weed flowers in the grass. Even though some see them as a nuisance, maybe never noticing or appreciating them at all, I see them as tiny perfections’.
Just take a deep breath right now. People take it for granted but it releases one chemical goodness in your brain when you do. It helps you relax, slow down time, and collect your thoughts. Doctors use this method to help in high stress urgent situations.
If you want some instant massive gratification, hold your breath for a little, nothing crazy, and then take in a deep breath. Those endorphins are incredible.
Anyone can feel this joy, whether you’re a billionaire or homeless. It’s so underrated.
Getting out of my bed pain free and able to walk unassisted. ( Never had anything major happen to me, but I’ve taken care of my parents and loved ones and it’s so sad when they lose mobility.
Running water/indoor plumbing. But actual pleasure? Comfortable sleep. Especially that moment of total relaxation where you know you’ll be out in mere seconds.
Or in general any food that was once considered rare that we can just pick up at a grocery store. Pineapples used to be rented back in the day to show wealth. Now I can just buy one.

Seeing someone you love clearly with both eyes.

Tasting, smelling, and then chewing food with a healthy, full set of your own teeth.
And this: peeing in a solid, healthy stream and/or a regular, full evacuation solid bowel movement.
