So my friend just had a baby, her first, and apparently her insurance is trying to deny all her claims. Not allowed to post pictures here so I’ll include copies of the texts:
“They keep denying my claims because they’re “investigating if I have other insurance” which I don’t so they denied my $70,000 hospital bill and I have to call and deal with their shit ”
“They denied my BLOODWORK even and now quest is trying to make me pay $1,000. At this rate I should just take us all off _______ work insurance and pay out of pocket for our own insurance”
Apparently everything is in network. We live in Florida, in the US
Edit for clarity: Their insurance is Blue cross and Blue shield, ppo.

She should submit a formal letter stating she has no other insurance, with proof (like an employer HR letter), and ask them to reprocess all denied claims.
Every call should be logged with date, time, name of the rep, and what was said. If they still stall, she can file a complaint with the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.
Hospitals often have patient advocates who can push the insurance company to fix coordination-of-benefits issues, it’s worth calling the hospital billing department to get one assigned.
File a complaint with the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR).

they do this in the hopes you give up. keep fighting them
She’ll fight it for a few years, eventually they’ll pay. It sucks, but it’s how they work.
Raise a glass for Super Mario’s brother, I guess.
Is her present insurance private or Medicaid ?
She just needs to call them. They obviously have a record of her having other insurance so she just needs to prove that she doesn’t. It’s really a simple fix and then they will pay her claims.
Y’all, why are all these posts about “my friend”?
For real.
I doubt OP has al the info and this is just a ragebait post at this point.
OP: have your friend post, and provide *all* the details.
