I’m a movie addict. I watch many… many movies, and to be honest, loads of movies are not hitting the correct story points — a lot of movies have the right ideas and right direction but end up failing to piece it all together. And I usually come out not satisfied at the end because what was promised was switched on me, and not in a good way. Two examples I have would be Weapons and Sinners.

I think the Sinners movie was very good and was the first movie in a while that followed all the movie points. I knew it was good because I wanted more after it finished. I believe Sinners is an average movie though, nothing phenomenal, but it’s finally a good storyline, so we loved it.

Weapons (2025) was horrible. The promotion for this movie was amazing, and they really made you think this movie was gonna be something. It totally isn’t. Yeah, it follows the average storyline, but it is nowhere near a “classic.” This Weapons movie is all hype, and in 5 years, nobody will barely mention it. It’s just not good at all. Yeah, maybe it followed the standard storytelling, but what I’m basically trying to say is that since we always get trash movies, when we get an average movie, people hype it up like it’s something crazy when it’s not
