What book would you recommend I go into my 30th birthday reading?

r/

Hi friends! I’m spending my 30th birthday at the beach and wanted to find a good book to read… I hold a lot of weight in the books I was reading/songs I was listening to when I look back on a memory, so whatever I choose will forever be attached with my “feeling” of turning 30 :’)

Any suggestions would be awesome, I’m a generally positive/whimsical gal so I’m hoping to find something magical and poignant in its own cheeky way 🙂 thank you!

The first book that comes to my mind is Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. A group of strangers finds themselves stuck in an unexpected situation together, but it really is about their relationships with each other and the paths of their lives that brought them to that moment. It’s bit poignant, but also relatable and funny. It’s a quick read, but I find myself thinking about it kind of a lot.
