A buyer of my online item is threatening to have me arrested

I sold an item(less than $100) to a person via Facebook marketplace last Wednesday. They asked if I would ship before payment, I declined. They reluctantly paid me via venmo and I told them I would ship the item the following day. I did. I received the receipt from the post office and like a total doofus I decided to try my phones scanning feature instead of just taking a picture of the receipt. We’ll, my scanner scanned wrong and the tracking number I provided her was invalid. I apologized and said I’d go back to the post office and sort it out tomorrow (Friday). On Friday I was unable to do that and then in Saturday she blew up my wife’s email address (not even sure how she got it) and my Facebook screaming about how she filed a police report, I’m an online fraudster, I committed mail fraud, I committed two felonies and police are preparing a warrant for my arrest. She keeps demanding a refund RIGHT NOW and she’ll “make it all go away”. Friends have already told me to just breathe and ignore her. I offered to refund as soon as funds clear (I had already transferred to my bank like an idiot) but she keeps screaming “NOW NOW NOW”. She has also said she filed a report with cps because “the children live with a criminal” and are supposedly in danger. Just looking for advice or reassurance. I am going to refund her, as soon as my funds clear, probably on Tuesday or Wednesday but she says “it’ll be too late by then”.
Any thoughts reddit?

So you sent the item and have already received payment?

Block her. Expect her to try to chargeback that payment one way or another since she sounds like a scammer from jump. You didn’t do anything wrong so don’t worry about any legal threats she makes. It’s all hot air.

Why refund her? Shes getting the item and being a total bitch about it.

    Tell her to fuck off.

Cops aren’t going to come busting down your door because of a sub $100 transaction

Also, why can’t you just take a pic of the receipt now ? If you threw it away already, well you are an idiot for that part

Even the scanned version of the receipt should have the tracking number on it though? Are you saying it changed digits on the scanned version? That’s a little sus. Every receipt I’ve ever gotten has the tracking number printed on the bottom

This is a scam. Never receive payment on FB Marketplace via VENMO. Some guy tried the same thing with me. Ignore the scammer. Do not refund via VENMO. They want your information to try to hack you.
