Abandonment of Personal property v intentional abandonment in MA

r/

Location: MA

Short version: real property was foreclosed and sold via auction in 12/2023. Summary process to remove had been started and served. The Attorney changed the dates in which we needed to be out by over a month earlier than agreed upon. We did not sign off on the requested document stating personal property left behind we abandoned. The opposing counsel stated in court that there “volumes of goods at the property “ it’s also on record that photographs were taken of possessions left behind.
Not even 7 business days after vacating I began via email requesting location of possessions. I have a signed affidavit that opposing counsel himself states I did not ask about our possessions left behind until a month later (perjury). I do not even care about the breach of ethics defense counsel has made (there’s multiple instances of perjury in the court documents). I am looking for any case law that reflects a situation like this. The fair market value of possessions that we have been deprived of is $77,000. Not to mention that we are now over a year of trying to find out what happened to our possessions! TVs musical instruments, construction equipment etc.
Thoughts?

Your post isn’t really clear on what happened.

This was a business or a residence? You were ordered out on a certain date by the court? Did you leave on that date?
