But as most people don’t reapply sunscreen after washing their hands, I’d say they are actually the least protected.

I wash my palms immediately after applying sunscreen.

I use spray so I create a mini atmosphere of protection around me like Pig Pen from Charlie Brown

i hate ehen my hands are sticky so i immeiately rub it off somewhere, ideally with sand and sea water

Well not really. Considering you are touching everything with your hands, that sunscreen will wear off much faster. Not to mention spray on sun screen.

I believe your skin gets “saturated” so just having the sunscreen on an area longer doesn’t necessarily mean it’s more protected

Maybe if I did not wash my hands after to get that goo off my hands.

This is truly a dizzying shower thought. Our palms really are the best protected because we use it to apply the sunscreen it self!

TIL I have been applying sunscreen wrong forever. I usually use my fingers and get very little if any on my palm.

Except I’m autistic so I be washing my hands after applying sunscreen and then re-applying to just the back of my hands

I spray it. My hands almost never touch it.

True. They end up with the thickest layer since you’re rubbing it in everywhere else, kind of an accidental bonus.

Well, at least my hands are ready for a sunbathing competition! Who knew they’d be the most protected part of me?

The price of sun protection… is never knowing the joy of crispy palms.
