Wow, she really fuxked up! This is seriously going to impact his relationship with both of you, but obviously more so your wife. She’s done a lot of damage, in showing him he can no longer trust his parents, with any sensitive personal info. And he’s just at that age, where ongoing, and open communication is key. I think you need to talk with him personally, to express your own disapproval, and shock at what she did. He needs to know he has an ally, that he can still talk openly to. He’s already more comfortable talking to Tina’s mum, than you guys. And she needs to apologise, to him, for overstepping, over sharing, and humiliating your son. She has to take accountability for the damage she’s done to your son’s whole friend group. Too bad, if she doesn’t like Reddit anymore, it’s only because she doesn’t like the truth. She needs to see these updates, and comments, because she needs to understand the full consequences of what she’s done. And then she also needs to go and apologise to Chris, for the damage she did there, too.
