Hi everyone !
I had a tattoo appointment yesterday.
During booking, we chatted about the tattoo, she told me it would be 200 dollars.
Then I asked if we could add a second tattoo in the same session but smaller (seeing as I’m already making the trip, why not get my money’s worth).
She said yes, and that it would be another 100 on top of the 200.
I agreed.
So yesterday we were really focused on the first tattoo (the 200 one) because it was the bigger more detailed one, and tattooing took about 2 hours.
Then it seems she forgot about the second tattoo. I wasn’t really mad because I was so tired from the first one that I wasn’t sure I would be up for it.
So I get ready to pay and I give her the 200.
Then she tells me that it was 300, to which I say that was for both tattoos but apparently she had forgotten about the second one.
She proceeds to give me a date for an appointment for the second tattoo, but this studio was really far and I wasn’t sure I wanted to pay another 40 bucks for train tickets.
So it didn’t seem fair to me to pay for another tattoo that I didn’t get, and even if she hadn’t forgotten about it, it was getting too late to do it.
So my question is am I the asshole for refusing to pay the additional 100 for a tattoo that I didn’t get ?
Appreciate your answers, thanks in advance !

> I feel that I would be the asshole because we agreed on a price and at the end I refused to give the full price.

NTA
Your tattoo was 200 that was the agreed price. You did nothing wrong
There’s no conflict here. She made a mistake (part of being human) and forgot about the second tattoo being included in the price. She gave a date for the second tattoo so it sounds like she realized her mistake when you pointed it out. Unless she tried to argue that you did owe $300 and not $200 (and if that’s the case you need to add it to the post) NAH.
Just thinking another angle. Did she really forget or mean to and couldn’t be bothered to carry on and had other appointments booked in perhaps, ?? She could have sucked you in, thinking you’d forget maybe?.
If you really like her art work is it worth the extra to travel there? No your not the ass.
Nta. You paid for that session that she did, so you’re in the clear.
NTA. You paid for services rendered.
