I (21M) work at a warehouse and recently found out an old classmate of mine from high school (let’s call her Emily) works there too. We weren’t close back then, but we recognized each other and have talked a few times. Nothing deep, just chill.
Anyway, I heard from a friend (we’ll call him Jake) that Emily’s boyfriend had other women in his car, and it didn’t sound innocent. Not a carpool or chill situation just shady. Jake was the one who actually saw it, but I’m the one who told her. I didn’t do it to get with her I just don’t like seeing someone get played while everyone around stays silent.
So I told her. She confronted her boyfriend, and now somehow I’m the bad guy.
Jake’s mad I said anything, saying I “snitched for nyash” (his words). My brother’s also pissed, saying I broke “bro code” and it wasn’t my business since Emily and I aren’t close. He even tried to clown me for being a virgin like that’s an insult, and said I only told her because I wanted her.
Now her man supposedly wants to “talk” to me in person. Like bro, you did shady stuff and now you’re mad someone spoke up?
I wasn’t spreading rumors or gossiping. I just told her the truth because if it were me, I’d want to know.
