About 4-5 years ago my step sister put my step mother on my phone bill (she had a business account to save money and I was a branch off of it). She reassured me that someone else would pay it, no one ever did. So I got stuck with the bill. I’ve been paying roughly $100/month for this woman’s phone. My step mother has never worked a day in her life, she doesn’t clean, she doesn’t cook, she has never contributed to anything. I ******* hate the fact that I’m paying a freeloaders cell phone bill. Every time she says something to me I want to look her in the eyes and tell her to get a job. She’s not on disability and she likes to say that she works with my father, I’ve seen her go to work with my father…she sits on her effing ass the whole time!!! My money situation is pretty good during the summer but during the winter I have to cut my expenses to almost nothing. And anytime I talk about how money is tight she gets worried that her cell phone will get turned off…like WTF!? I’ve been thinking about putting her phone on a separate branch and saying FU take care of this shit yourself…AITAH?

NTA. Get your own phone contact, and tell the stepmother that she needs to also have her own contact. Then ask to be reimbursed for paying for her service. Why have you been a doormat for so many years?
