AMA I ended up with the guy of my dreams

I (f,31) met him at work when I was 19 and fell for him hard instantly. I didn’t date through most of my 20s because I only wanted him. I didn’t even really know much about him at all, I didn’t even know his last name. I was always too nervous to ask him out and after a few years I changed jobs and lost contact completely, but he was always in the back of my mind as the one who got away. Four years later he randomly messaged me on Facebook and not long after that I was living with him. We were together for three years.
