When I was a kid in the 2000s, it seemed like all the major SoCal amusement parks (Universal, Disneyland, Knott’s) all had way more live shows than they do today. I don’t like the trend of replacing shows with rides. Universal now only has that Water World show.
Amusement park shows are way better than amusement park rides

The kid who wasn’t tall enough is finally getting his long repressed revenge.
Frankly speaking, if I’m going to travel across the world, take vacation time, get extorted by amusement park prices, I at least want an experience that I can’t get on YouTube.
Also didn’t that starwars hotel 24 hour show or whatever fail spectacularly? There’s a clear ceiling for shows imo. As a guest I’ll bring the kids to watch the parade and fireworks, but the goal is to get as many rides as possible in for big parks, and for small parks it’s having time to do everything and win some prizes.
