Due to the climate you lot have an impressive variety of tubers

Yacon, for example, is slowly becoming popular in Brazil. I wonder what other tubers you guys use in regular basis

    Melloco – not my favorite but commonly eaten in salads and soups. Looks like a small potato, but has a much slimier texture.

    The people from the Venezuelan Andes use arracacia. We call it “apio” which is the name for another name for a tuber from Europe.

    It is really good for making soup.
