Anti-Diarrhea pill packaging.

r/

Why, why are these the hardest pills to get out of the packaging? I just spent 5 minutes fumbling, with finally scissors, to get two pills out. I can’t think of any medicine that’s as difficult to dispense.

Makes sense when you think about it. That’s the whole reason you take them; to prevent things from spilling out prematurely!

it’s deliberately intended to be that way.

that type of medication is subject to abuse. restricting sales on it and making it so that it’s really time consuming to open helps ensure that people can’t take large doses at once without a lot of effort.

At least you know it wasn’t a false alarm if you still needed them after getting them. Look at the bright side. Or if it was indeed too long, the brown side…

It’s absolutely maddening. I buy it bottles on EBay; 96 tablets for $20 or 200 tablets for $36, both with free shipping.

I have some anti-nausea pills that are like that too. I’m already weak and shaky because I’m about to barf, and now I have to try and peel the Nev-R-Break film off this extremely tiny and easily crushable through the packaging pill…

When shopping for pills, you gotta make sure that you’re getting a bottle. The box should be more bottle-shaped, and it should have a pretty decent rattle if you shake it. The blister packs are typically in the flatter boxes, and there is either no rattle or a more dull rattle.

Yeah … it’s ridiculous. Get the bottles of those pills, instead. They are on the shelf nearby.

I always carry 2 pills packaged like this. I have practiced at home how to open them without using a tool.
