I have been reading about the possible recession and I am seeing that President Trump saying that this is a possibility and he’s OK with this.
So, I’m wondering if this is acceptable to conservatives.
I was always told that recessions should be avoided because it’s a retraction of the economy. I believe President Trump is saying that sometimes you have to break things down to build them up again.
However, on the other hand, when the stock market went into the negative, he changed course on policy.
Therefore, I am curious on your take with the matter.

Acceptable in the sense that it’s just part of what a market does. There’s a bear market every few years, it happens.
I don’t think someone should go around trying to cause one, if that’s what you’re asking.

Where did you hear the "he’s ok with it" part?
The government should not control the economy.
It’s like asking if death is acceptable. Recessions are inevitable.

Recessions are necessary for healthy economies. Think of them like wildfires in an ecosystem. You have to get rid of the underbrush in order to prevent much larger fires later on.
Recessions reallocate capital from struggling/terminal/zombie businesses to successful ones or ones with more potential.
No one wants them
But when the stock market is going up for a long time
It eventually comes down because some things aren’t worth what they seem

We’ve been heading in to a recession since Biden was in office…. That doesn’t magically change with a flip of a switch.
Recessions are a normal part of the business cycle, and not really anything to be alarmed about. Economic policy changes always bring temporary hardships that resolve themselves as the market adjusts.
