I am not one to complain, nor be ungrateful.
However in my past experience,(especially as a person who cares for others deeply)
I’ve grown to dislike when people ask me if I’m hungry,or inquire about what I’d like to eat if they’re not going to then follow up with ideas/offers/solutions.
Or better yet, VOLUNTEER MY RESOURCES to take care of said collective hunger! (Mine and theirs)
I usually wouldn’t ask someone if they’re hungry if I didn’t intend on feeding them, sharing food, or taking care of the need. Which is also applicable to other needs/request.
Normally you wouldn’t ask someone if they’re feeling/needing something if you didn’t have the resources or knew where they could get their needs met.
Not completely sure if this is unpopular or if it’s even worth sharing but I’ve thought about it often🫤

So someone asks if you’re hungry, then what – suggests you buy everyone food or something?😂
I mean, if I ask “Are you hungry?”, I’m usually asking if you want to pause our current activity to go eat something. If I wanted to offer to buy you a meal, I’d make that clear. And if you said, “Yes, but I can’t afford to go out.” then I’d absolutely volunteer to pay for your food. But the question isn’t, “Can I pay for your food?” The question is, “Are you hungry?”
