Being sued over a car I voluntarily repossessed because I can’t afford it.

r/

When i bought it I was in a good spot. Fast track a year and a half. I couldn’t afford it I was working 2 jobs 7 days a week to pay for it. So I turned it back over to them they are sueing me and I understand where there coming from but what can I do I have no money. No car (I borrow one for work) I’m a single mom and have nothing do I settle do I fight it how do I fight it. What will happen if they win. It’s almost 7 grand and I can’t even pay the bills I have now what am I gonna do then.

If they’ll allow you to settle for a lump sum and/or payment plan, that’s good option. Otherwise, chances are they eventually will collect a judgment and garnish your wages.
