Best tool for in-class pop quizzes and anonymous polls? Anyone tried Slides With Friends?

r/

I’m teaching my first lecture this September and want to keep students engaged with occasional pop quizzes, partly to encourage attendance, but also to reinforce key concepts.

I’m also hoping to include quick anonymous feedback polls at the end of each topic (like a 1–5 scale on how well they understood the material).

I’ve heard of a few tools, but I’m looking for something simple and accessible, ideally something students can join with a QR code and no account needed. I recently came across Slides With Friends, has anyone used it for this kind of setup?

I like polleverywhere, but the free version limits you to a certain number of responses

I like Slido. The free version let’s you have up to 100 people and can do 3 polls/questions per slido.

Canvas LMS quizzes for in-class pop quizzes, students can access via their laptop or app on their smartphone, they’ll automatically be corrected, and entered in the Canvas gradebook. No hassle with third party tools.

I like menti. It generates a qr code, students scan the quiz and answer on their phones or iPads.
