Tl;dr: my bf is a super light sleeper so we have separate rooms. Only his is too noisy for him and wants mine. But I have more stuff abc we agreed on me having the bigger room. I don’t want to have to switch after moving again and I don’t know what to do.
So my bf and I moved to a new city. We first had separate apartments because our moves happened at different months (his was September and mine December).
He ended up getting a nasty flu and virus back to back so I stayed on his couch to help take care of him and the day to day stuff he couldn’t do when he was so sick. From there we decided to move in together and found a place we both liked.
The only problem is that he is a light sleeper. To the point where me rolling in bed wakes him. So we have separate rooms. But now he is saying that his is too loud and wants to switch.
I feel like he should learn how to sleep in a slightly noisier environment (he grew up in a farm). As well, we moved in to a smaller space so we don’t have space for things like two bookcases or two desks so I have given up a lot of things like that for this place. My room is the one place that houses everything of mine (bookcase, craft supplies plies, plants etc.) since he got the smaller room. He also has full use of my desk and I don’t since he is the one that works from home.
I don’t know what to do in this situation.
