I (M25) have been texting with a girl (F26) I met online for a few months and we really started getting to know each other. After a while it was clear that both of us had feelings for each other,we texted and talked on the phone almost everyday and we even sent each other gifts by post. We talked to much about wanting to met each other irl but we couldn’t yet because of the distance and other commitments in our lives. Everything was going great and she clearly expressed her interest in me and I did the same. Important info: she lives together with her ex and she can’t move out because she’s not financially independent. She told me she can’t wait to get rid of him but she’s forced to stay there at least for now.
Fast forward to a little more than a month ago, one random afternoon I noticed I got blocked on literally everything out of nowhere. Not a word,no explanation,nothing. After talking and sharing so much for such a long time,I felt disappointed and confused to the point that,after trying to contact her with no avail, I turned to one of her friends we’d played with and asked him if something had happened and he hinted at her jealous ex/roommate as the culprit of this whole mess. He relayed her message to me saying she’d unblock me when “things cool off”. It’s now been more than a month,still nothing.
Am I wrong in feeling so hurt? Not because of getting blocked (maybe a little) but because she didn’t even say one word before doing that and left me completely in the dark. Maybe she couldn’t,idk how controlling her ex is and what shitty situation she’s in, but she probably could have unblocked me for 2 min at some point to explain (that’s what I would have done).
I really miss her and I can’t stop hoping/thinking about it..
I know there’s probably nothing I can do except wait. I also just wanted to get this off my chest and vent and see what you guys think.
Maybe the thing that hurts the most is knowing that maybe she didn’t think at all how much this would hurt me.
TL;DR;: I got blocked out of nowhere probably because of her ex’s jealousy and I don’t know what the best course of action is
