My favorite inside joke in my family is saying “Bon Jovi has hairy armpits” when someone is upset to make them laugh. It’s totally nonsensical cause why wouldn’t he? But it always funny to us.
One time when I was really upset and crying as a kid my mom stopped what she was doing and picked me up. She happened to have her laptop open in front of us showing her background. Her background was of Bon Jovi with his arms up. For some reason I noticed he had hairy armpits and commented on it. Just a random observation I guess but it made me pause and stop crying. It’s a moment that we will never forget and constantly bring up now.

Our big family meme is “Mango is good for you!” As proclaimed by my husband drunkenly at a Fourth of July gathering several years ago. Now anytime there’s mango, or it’s even just mentioned, someone will inevitably say it or a variation.
