Hello I live in Texas but My company is based in FL. I work for a call center and have been having an issue with my supervisor asking me to clock out if I’m in overtime and having it issues. I have been informed many times that if I’m in overtime I have to clock out but still have to talk to IT. I did send a message to my supervisor tonight starting I did not feel comfortable doing unpaid work but want to know what are the steps I can take to protect both me and my job. Supervisor also states that it was in a contract I signed when I was hired but I think I would have remember having a clause in there allowing me to work for free
