Breach of confidentiality

r/

I’m currently involved in an HR case for an altercation that took place between two of my coworkers. I wrote a witness statement giving the gist of what I saw happen. During a meeting held with one of the individuals involved; there was two supervisors, a union representative, and a union business agent present, my name was released by one of the supervisors as someone who made a statement. Now the individual involved has said he will not work with me and has continually tried to disrupt the work environment. Is there any grounds for legal action.
More info to the story but I’m trying to keep it “somewhat” short and to the point.

No. Not unless “confidentiality” is something created in your CBA. And if it is you should talk to your union, not a lawyer.
