The top of a burger bun is usually more thicker and suitable to support everything in a burger. Especially if it’s saucy, the top bun can absorb more sauce and is less likely to fall apart as you eat it.
Unless you’re having a plain burger, the bottom bun starts to crumble as you eat it.

Use better buns. Murray’s potato buns hold up just fine.
I’m pretty sure you just need buns thst aren’t low quality and it will hold up just fine
Who the hells burger is falling apart? Are you putting grease on them after?
I legit do this sometimes if the bottom bun is too thin.
I’ve never had that issue with buns.
Maybe you need to start using different buns.
You’re going to the bad place.
high quality buns and grease management is all you need
I always do this
What in the world are you even talking about!?!?!?!?!?!?!
No.
They should be cut in half and eaten like a proper sandwich.
This reminds me of when burger king in Austria created whoppers with either two bottoms or two tops in order to celebrate pride month and it became a meme world wide
I thought everyone knows this they just don’t do it.
I eat them upside down anyways. With a thick bun it’s easier to take bites when it’s upside down for some reason.
I might try this. thanks
Considering there are literally multiple YT vids on this topic from years ago and each with 100k – 299K of “likes” and even AI bots say that’s it’s a recommended method; gonna say this is not an unpopular opinion.
Nah burgers should be eaten with cutlery.
I’ve never had the problem unless the burger was left to sit with sauce, so it soaks into the broad. You use the bottom because it’s flat. Otherwise it wouldnt’ matter.
Not unpopular, it just makes more sense to eat it upside down
in a cat voice: You’re eating the burger wrong, uncle Theodore!
No bun worth eating is going to crumble. Sounds like an exclusive homemade burger problem and stale buns. Keep them in your freezer and use them one at a time to keep them fresh. Also, I know a lot of people like to grill their buns, but microwaving it for 20 sec is so much better for a soft warm bun
This is why the cheese goes on the bottom of the burger facing the bun. Not the way 97% of places makes a burger with the cheese on top.
Put the lettuce on the bottom bun. Then other veggie toppings. Then patty cheese and sauce. Then top bun.
thats how i eat em 🤷♂️
I always hold my burger upside down, it feels more natural to put 4 fingers underneath the burger to pick it up then flip it and use your thumbs to support the “top” bun
If the bun falls apart eating in the traditional orientation because of sauce, you’ve got too much sauce. Are you drowning it in sauce? Might as well serve you a cup of it to drink straight out of.
I’m concerned with why it is so hard for you to eat a burger.
Just put lettuce underneath the burger patty instead of on top of it and it solves this issue pretty well.
I agree here. Most of the time
Why did you think this thought needed to be aired outside your head?
I often do just that, cheers mate 🍔
Daym Drops?
Don’t use Saltine hamburger buns.
Once I get a few good monster bites into my burger then I’ll cock it sideways and finish it off that way.
I usually do this instinctively, never thought about it
You probably eat a Snickers upside down to feel the veins on your tongue.
