Raisins do not belong in a butter tart! If you want to be a purist and say that means no pecans either, I’m willing to make that sacrifice (I’ll just call them pecan tarts 😜). Just no damn raisins!
Pretty only Canadians and maybe three guys from Australia who visited us know what the hell I am talking about. But I finally got a hold of the Chapmans butter tart ice cream in my grocery order and it had MFing raisins and ruined my whole night.

I dunno what you’re talking about. I love my cheap radioactive butter tart raisins. They really get the old diabetes going.
Now I want to try a butter tart!
I’ve never had a butter tart, and had to google to look what it was. Having done so, I have no clue whether raisins would ruin that or not.
But know what? I’m just going to assume this is like the folks who put coconut shavings and ruin an otherwise perfectly good carrot cake. Yeah, eff that.
i don’t know what this is but i agree because i hate raisins
You are correct.
Wtf is a butter tart.
I’ve never heard of this term but that looks like a mini pecan pie
I think OP invented a new food and this is the trap we fell in to get hooked on the new treat.
Raisins absolutely belong in butter tarts and this is a hill I will die on.
I like them both ways. I always make half with and half without. Also always use golden raisins cause i dont like the dark and i find it tastes much better that way too.
