California: potential job offer withdrawal

Location of job: California, USA
Company HQ: Pennsylvania, USA

I recently accepted a job offer located in California. As required, I did the background check and drug test, which was positive (+) for “marijuana”.
I first received a phone call from the testing center to let me know, then I was asked when was the last time I consumed before the in-person interview which I answered “that same day”, then I was asked if I had a medical/doctor approval for medical use which i answered “nope”. That was the end of the call.

The next day I received an email from the hiring compnay with an attached letter saying the following:
“As you know, as a part of our employment screening process we check the background of applicants. With your authorization we obtained one or more consumer reports, including a drug screen, on you for employment purposes.
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with a copy of the consumer report that we obtained in accordance with your authorization and a summary of certain rights you may have under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act prior to making a final hiring decision.
Based in whole or in part upon information contained in the consumer report, we are considering not offering you the position (including withdrawing any conditional offer of employment). However, [Company] has not yet decided upon this action.
Before a final decision is made, you have the right to respond to this letter and provide for our consideration additional information or context regarding the information in that report or dispute the accuracy of the information in that report. Please provide such information, in writing, to [HR REPRESENTATIVE] within the next five (5) business days. If the decision not to hire you is made based, in whole or in part, on the information contained in the consumer report, you will receive additional information in a separate letter. Please contact [HR REPRESENTATIVE] if you have any questions regarding this letter.
We look forward to hearing from you”

I’ve taken pre-employment drug tests before, so I am thrown off since this is the first time “marijuana” has been an issue to an employer. I need some legal advice and guidance.

As a recreational user, what is the best answer I can give to ensure I get the job?
