My divorce agreement that was done mid-2024 states that I was to be removed from my ex-spouse’s personal loan/they were required to refinance it in just their name before or on Dec 31, 2024. I have brought it up to the ex-spouse multiple times (at least once a month) since then and they always refuse to make the appointment at the bank to refinance it. I have contacted the available lawyers for the county the divorce occurred in and none will get back with me on how to fix this in court for going against the court order. It is thousands of dollars of debt that is on my credit report and Experian is giving me the option to dispute it. Am I able to do that (seems fishy) or should I be trying a different route since I cannot get an attorney to help? TIA

The lender is not party to your divorce decree, and a debt that you took on is still valid.
Your recourse would be to take your spouse to court for failing to follow the decree.
