can I make a band name referencing a film?

this might be the silliest thing ever, but i’m trying to come up with band names and i wanted to know if I could reference a film or a character in my name? I’m a film student and obsess over films and think a name like ‘The Ghost of Laura Palmer’ would hit. If not, I’ve got plenty other names, but is that something that’s allowed like legally? What if it’s just a subtle reference like ‘Average Joe’s (from Dodgeball) or ‘Dont Talk About Fight Club’ (Fight Club) or ‘Neo’s White Rabbit’ (The Matrix)
