So I went to California for the summer and on returning home I found out that apparently the cops can go through the house whenever they want because my stepdad isn’t allowed to have alcohol (I think it had something to do with a DUI but I’m not sure). I don’t want them rifling through my room and would like to know if there’s a way I can stop them from doing so.

How old are you?

I am assuming he is on probation. If so, then no. Regardless, how old are you? If you are under 18 you have no rights in this. If you are over 18 you can move out so that you don’t need to deal with the rules of his probation.
He is on parole or probation. They can search the entire house. It is a condition and they don’t need a warrant or to give notice.
Do they have court-ordered papers? Sounds like he may be on probation for what happened.
If he’s on probation and you’re a minor, no, you don’t have any way to stop them. If you’re an adult, you can move out. Those are pretty much your only choices here.
