I don’t believe so. It would be an interesting story line because depending on PoV,Captain Planet and the Planeteers are eco terrorists.

How would it go? Well, as it was a child’s cartoon it would not have a very nuanced take and would be more like Captain Planet saving the terrorist from their own action, then explaining while their (terrorist) heart is in the right place, there is a right and wrong way to achieve their goal and they were doing the wrong way.

Literally all of the villains in Captain Planet are ecoterrorists of one kind or another.

Hoggish Greedly represents environmental damage caused by selfish exploitation of natural resources and over consumption, which is probably why he is designed to look like a pig.

Looten Plunder’s literal name is a play on “loot and plunder,” and he is a wealthy poacher who represents the downfall of unregulated capitalism and unethical business transactions. He even got away with cutting down an entire forest one time in the heroes couldn’t do anything about it.

Sly Sludge represents the short-term thinking of disposal of toxic waste. There was even an episode where he aired a commercial where he was rapping about how he will dump illegal materials that are toxic to the environment as long as he gets paid.

Duke Nukem is literally a radioactive mutant who feeds on nuclear power and can generate the same kind of radiation that is dangerous to people in the environment for obvious reasons.

Verminous Skumm it’s really the only villain in the series who tends to focus more so on harming the human race rather than nature because he represents disease, urban decay, and human ignorance. He is also responsible for the literal on-screen death of a cousin of one of the Planeteers because he was so hooked on drugs that Verminous had out in the streets. Kid literally busted through a window and bled out in Linka’s arms because he was high out of his mind.

haven’t watched much of it, but I don’t think he would aprove of killing workers or anything like that.

however messing with their gear may not bother him

He’d stop whatever the actual damage to the environment, that sparked the eco terrorism, was. And then he’d talk to the eco terrorist to teach him more peaceful ways, with a power of speech and friendship, and the activist would recognize the error in their ways

Captain Planet is the ecoterrorist. Several of the villains’ plans are perfectly legal even if they are evil plans.

Don’t the Planeteers already qualify? From a certain point of view?

Would anybody still want to be an eco-terrorist when there is already basically a god running around doing your work for you?

Like what can you do as an eco-terrorist that could be better than Don Cheadle turning people into trees?

Jokes aside I do thunk it still stands that there isn’t a need for eco-terrorists when you see a guy like CP running around. Unless you’re talking about a super powered one like poison ivy. Then I wouldn’t really know. Ivy and Gaia will need to have a deep conversation to see if their views align.
