Car troubles after dealership refused to deal with recalls

My mother in law purchased a 2021 Ford Bronco from a ford dealership in town. Shortly after there was a recall for a part, they waved it off as nothing to worry about. Just 2 days ago both the little wrench symbol and the check engine light came on and they’re scheduled to come out on Monday to fix the recalled parts. Today while she was driving down the road, the car aggressively shook seconds before spewing bright white smoke from the engine and spitting oil from the exhausts. Is there any fault on the dealership? Or do we just hope for the best?

Did you take it for service after the recall. But they typically cover anything under the recall if it breaks.

    What is the recall for?
