Cars look way worse without a spoiler

r/

Cars without spoilers look so unfinished, like, any car would look so much better with one. A car could have the potential to look really good, and then it has no spoiler, and it’s just not that cool.

Definitely depends on the car and type of spoiler. So to me this is quite unpopular. Take my upvote.

  3. Zestyclose_Tree8660 Avatar

You get my upvote. Most cars with spoilers look ridiculous.

Cars with spoilers look like toys

  5. Expert-Examination86 Avatar

It’s called a spoiler for a reason. It spoils the look of the car.

  6. LazyDawge Avatar

Cant possibly be true for wagons, hatchbacks and SUVs

    What does a spoiler do?

  8. jxsz Avatar

I mean it depends, a fiat 500 with a spoiler looks fucking stupid

I’m gonna write >!Verbal is Keyser Söze!< on the side of my car.

Can’t wait to see spoilers on SUVs, Trucks, Utes and wagons.

Take my Upvote! Most cars look ridiculous with spoilers.

You ACTUALLY have no idea what you’re talking about. Normally I’d upvote, but this is just straight up untrue and poor taste across the board.

As long as the spoiler doesnt look out of formula one on a ford escort

  13. coyotepickeldbob Avatar

Depends on the vehicle indeed. The spoilers of say like the 2000-2005 Chevy Impala and Monte Carlo are both really good looks. Especially on the Monte Carlo . See em without spoilers, and they look goofy. Some trucks may also as long as it’s built as a sport one like the Dodge Ram Daytona but look eh elsewhere.

Some older stuff does look better without one, though. Like the caprice and earlier Impalas or many of the old box body stuff. For cars nowadays it’s a bit difficult. on crossovers, it’s a mixed bag since many of the spoilers also shape the rear window. And I’m talking factory. Personal opinion but I also wish the r33-r34 came with a lip style Spoiler instead.

You have my upvote for being unpopular.

Most cars that come with them look cleaner without them. In most cases they aren’t needed and if they are, the stock spoiler is most likely insufficient.

Yeah of course, my family minivan would look way cooler with a spoiler.

I used to think that, especially when it came to games like Need For Speed, but last time I played Most Wanted I actually took off the spoiler on most cars. It genuinely looks ridiculous.

Found the guy who puts a plywood spoiler on a 1996 Toyota Camry.

Pickup trucks? SUV’s? Ok Perhaps not truck chassis vehicles then, alright.

How about Crossover SUV’s? Hatchbacks? Station wagons? Minivans? Most of these are build on a car / sedan chassis… and would horrible with a spoiler.

Ah the spoiler. A pillar of pointless aesthetics.

    Depends on the car.
I don’t think it belongs on a Jeep,
a station wagon, a minivan, or a truck.

And the only van, I’ve ever seen
    look good with a spoiler,

    is the A-Team van!

    Spoilers belong on sportscars,
    hypercars, and race cars.
    That’s about it.
Stately sedans don’t need them either.

    Even a pinto? Really?

spoiler has a purpose, if the car needs that to function, chances are it is well design and looks good on that car,

if a spoiler is added for a cosmetic look. chances are it looks like shit,

This post would look better without the spoiler.

Cars look bad, no matter what you put on them.

the spoilers less Peugoet 9×8 looks awesome. It kinda looks like a racing version of the batmobile.

Oh, I hate this opinion. Have an upvote. Anyone remember Beaterz? They used to regularly mock cars with “God handles” and for good reason.

  28. spacefret Avatar

I agree, the SsangYong Rodius really pops once you add a spoiler

  29. Get_your_grape_juice Avatar

Welp, hard disagree. I find spoilers to be mostly weirdly superfluous and vestigial on regular road cars..

just like a cape in minecraft
