I mean 1970 – 90’s cartoon people grew up with. It would command a much older audience that grew up with the nostalgia of those and younger audiences to see all of the Saturday morning cartoon’s day used to come on. And I mean not just the most popular ones but the more obscure ones. They should alternate every Saturday to different ones so that people could see if they remember them.

Best you get is boomerang even then ehh.
How many Gen X and Millennials are gonna get up to watch cartoons though? We got shit to do
Good luck with that haha
This is literally just an opinion.
So sacrifice their Saturday morning lineup that kids today watch?
“Taco Bell should stop selling tacos after 10PM and focus on fruit smoothies instead”
Disney plus does it. They have a live retro channel.

Yea I miss Cartoon Theater too :/
Just watch them on the internet?
Its all there, just a google away
Dont worry, Boomerang and Cozi TV will be coming for your demographic. It’s only a matter of time.
Not going to happen.
Those old cartoons taught lessons.
That would be amazing but what era are we talking? I few up with like bugs bunny and the other Looney tunes on Saturday morning although I am a millennial
Its 2025…who is still watching network TV?
I remember like 15 years ago Nickelodeon (or maybe Noggin- I don’t remember specifically) would have a 90s block of programming (usually with stuff like All That, Keenan and Kel etc) from like 9-11 pm or something.
It was a cool novelty then but now with the amount of cord cutting that everyone has ALLEGEDLY done I’m not sure if it would lead to anything worth investing in lol.
Not sure if this is a unpopular opinion lol
I say this as an elder millennial, a lot of these shows don’t hold up. They are cute and have some great stuff, but you would be surprised how much stuff is really not appropriate. Think of how many PG things then would be PG 13 or R now! I can’t believe how sexist, racist, and bigoted things were so freely said and done. I also have kids who are in middle school, so I have seen a lot of kid’s programming. It’s better now. The shows teach things. There are some great arcs and music.
Seriously, sit down and rewatch some of the old stuff. I promise you that you will cringe a lot more than you think.
There are some Super Friends clips available but it s it the same as turning it on and watching to see the latest. You never knew who would be involved. Wonder Twins was always a disappointment and Superman the peak.
Billy and Mandy, Courage, Ed Edd n Eddy, Fosters Home, Xiaolin Showdown … Those were the days.
The showrunner for X men 97 says they explored the prospect of releasing episodes on saturday morning but Disney wouldn’t go for it.
OP you should check out MeTV Toons. Lots of 70s to 90s stuff on there.
On YouTube they have videos of Saturday Morning lineups from back in the day, complete with commercials.
Look up the toonami aftermath website. They do this sometimes.
Nothing before the late 80s tbh. Old style animation has always kind of creeped me out.
Alamo Drafthouse used to do Saturday Morning Cartoons. You could come in your PJs, they had a breakfast cereal bar and they played old cartoons on one of the movie screens. I wouldn’t do it every Saturday morning, but it was fun to do once.
