Location: Massachusetts and Georgia
Hi Reddit. A couple months ago, I began the process of selling my hair. In the posting for it, I very clearly stated the length and thickness of it. I got a buyer who wanted it sent in three batches. All three batches have been sent, but I’ve only received $200 or the $585.64 they owe me.
I’ve sent multiple follow up emails reminding them of the outstanding balance, but now they’re trying to claim they only received two bundles, one of which was unsatisfactory. This is despite there being written confirmation from them that all three bundles were received and satisfactory. Since reminding them of these emails, they’ve ghosted me. I contacted the site I sold my hair through, but they’re ignoring me as well.
I don’t have this person’s address, but I do have a P.O. box and an email. The P.O. box is in Georgia while I’m in Massachusetts. There is also a third person involved (allegedly the client this wig is for) who I am supposed to send invoices and receive payments from. When I sent them an invoice for the $585.64, they ignored it, and sent me $200 dollars instead, claiming they’d only received two of the three bundles so far and would send the rest upon the third’s arrival. By that point, the third bundle had already been shipped, but even after getting confirmation from the buyer that it had arrived, the outstanding balance still wasn’t paid.
Any advice?

Besides not selling things to people that the only info you have for them is a likely false name and a P.O. box in another state in the future?
You can sue them in small claims court. To do so you would first need to figure out the identity of the person with the P.O. box and then you would have to go to Georgia to file suit against them.
