Company promised bonuses. Had people working hard to meet the numbers. Hit the numbers for two months and got the bonus. The following months we hit the numbers harder, they ghost on bonuses. As of yesterday they claim they never legally said they were going to give bonuses.

However, other departments had gotten their bonuses. This department had the VP in it. Is this wage theft? I left this job after the meeting because it didn’t sit right with me that they pushed everyone to work harder for those months but when we start asking about the bonus, they extend their excuses more and more and finally yesterday they say it was never in writing.
