Could this disturbing video be real?

r/

Around a decade ago I saw this video.
I’d rather not describe it in detail, it is way too Gorey. Though my question below may give away what happened in it.
I’m sure some unfortunate people will understand if I say it is the “Boiler Room Maintenance Video”.
My question is essentially the following; if a person’s stomach was Split open (to cause their guts to end up on the floor) by a high temperature and high pressure (steam?) jet, could that person survive long enough to beg for help?

I don’t know the video, but the blood loss and shock from literally spilling your guts would leave them unconscious very quickly, or at least too weak and panicked to cry for help.

It’s not very helpful if you don’t provide any other information.

I haven’t seen the video so I can’t quite definitively say it might be real but human endurance is a very real thing so maybe it’s real. Sure they might bleed to death, but they might just scream and let some words out before they succumb. If you know what the video was, then name it.

Yes they probably could. Evisceration to the extent than organs fall onto the floor as described would be fatal without rapid medical intervention, but not immediately fatal. He would have time to realise he’s dying as shock sets in, and then massive bloodloss would very quickly kill him. But he’d very likely have time to realise he’s hurt bad and call for help before he collapses.

The problem with that premise is that water jet cutters are not going to stop once they cut through the first layer of skin, google says they penetrate up to 12 inches for most materials and in some cases way more than that depending on what they’re cutting.

So if someone take a cutter to the belly is gonna go straight through unless they morbidly obese. If they take it across the belly horizontally they will be split in 2 and prognosis from there is not good. Granted people have survived being cut in half but depends on how quickly can they get to a hospital.

pneumatic pressure can definitely be strong enough to hurt someone

I know which video you’re on about, I THINK, if I remember correctly it was testing out something used for a movie? It was a while ago I don’t fully remember

Not sure about the authenticity of the video you’re speaking of, but it is theoretically possible for a human to survive immediately deadly injuries for an extended period of time while being lucid enough to say, plead for help. For example, there have been some reports of people being hit by trains and remaining alive for several hours, even days, without any medical attention and remaining conscious through it all. Ultimately, it depends on the injury and the person being injured, some people are naturally going to have more endurance than others for reasons we don’t really know yet.

I know exactly what video you are talking about and yea, I believe he had one of the most painful deaths. I don’t think he could have called for help if his muscles and vocal chords weren’t work

Yeah. If only for a couple minutes. Like others have said the shock alone would make anyone pass out very quickly, not to mention the blood loss although surprisingly blood loss isn’t the reason people pass out from disemboweling.

And now, I’m morbidly curious. I’ve heard of such video before, but very fleetingly, forgetting the mention quite quickly afterwards.

I know it’s not the same situation, but Alison Botha had her guys spilled and her throat cut to the point of almost being decapitated, and she was able to crawl while holding her head in place until someone found her and called for help. I don’t know if the video you watched was real, but the possibility of this person being alive and conscious long enough to plead is possible.

    Somebody PM me the video.

I don’t think they will have time left to live after they let off some steam

Biggest risk here is bleeding out which can take hours. There’s a potential for a lot of time to pass to get help.

    they’re literally and figuratively cooked

DEAR GOD NO, if there IS a God at ALL. Hopefully they’d die before above described stage.

Disembowelment was actually a form of torture during the inquisition.
