I think you’re just bad at reading cursive.
Sounds like you weren’t taught cursive.
This is definitely a you(th) problem.
Boo. Hiss.
If you’re taught cursive then decent cursive is easy to read
Says the newly educated, which skipped cursive writing and reading.
>it’s impossible to skim read
This is the real problem. People don’t want to be thorough readers.
You must be pretty young, because this isn’t an issue for those of us who are older. Cursive was the dominant, expected way to write for years. Hundreds, even, and so we are pretty used to reading it/writing it. Sure, some people just write in a sloppy way and just happen to write in cursive, but it shouldn’t be hard to read if someone is writing neatly. You really need to get better at reading cursive, because a lot of very important documents hundreds of years ago are written in cursive. I write almost exclusively in cursive still. I find it easier.
Eh, if you write it correctly, it’s easy to read and faster in exam or timed conditions. I’ve been an English teacher since 2003 and read countless essays and written responses. If you know how to write cursive properly, it’s effortless to read.
Wait till this idiot tries to read languages he doesn’t know.
Chinese letters are all shaped incorrectly, they should just print.
This sub finds the dumbest people
No I only write cursive. I don’t like the choppy writing and lifting the pen each letter. Cursive is smoother, faster and looks better.
Cursive writing used just be called writing, whereas the block letters were referred to as printing.
I imagine that a couple generations from now will find us deserting letters altogether, in favor of audio-media. I mean, why bother with visual reading at all?
