I’ve decided to quit using lotion. I’ve never liked it, it leaves me feeling greasy, sticky, and uncomfortably warm, almost dirty. Scented lotions are even worse, and the same goes for perfume. Both just make me feel unclean and overheated. I can only spray perfume on my wrist, but never my body because I would break out instantly. And sometimes you get a nauseous feeling.
Also, I find the sensation of lotion on my palms rather unpleasant.
I wish there was a product you could just rub on like lotion, without those uncomfortable feelings I mentioned above, the same for perfume. A product that would leave you feeling refreshed even after a shower.

If you live somewhere dry, buy a whole home humidifier. This will help keep your skin moisturized without lotion.
I barely use lotion and I have nice and soft skin. Like, once a month if I get super dry kind of use.
I feel the same way except for using the plain Aveeno lotion.
I put (unscented) lotion on in the shower. I step out from under the running water and apply the lotion to wet skin. I let it sit for 20 seconds so my skin can absorb what it needs. Then I rinse off and dry off. I do this maybe once a week, a bit more often in winter when my skin is extra dry. It helps me feel moisturised but without the sticky, greasy feeling.
