Personally I think speaking, though only verbally, requires a lot of effort. Like an unreasonable amount. I always feel like there are words for things I wanna say and I just don’t know them yet, or that I’m just saying the same sentence 3 different ways that only somewhat portray what im trying to say and just hoping the other person can understand me based on general concepts, if that makes sense.
But after watching a show or movie, It becomes a lot more easy for me and casual. It doesn’t last long, though. maybe a few hours. But its like how I assume speaking is for most people where conversation is streamline and the back and forth doesn’t feel like some verbal puzzle to solve. This doesn’t happen with things like.. youtube or books where theirs still dialogue or people speaking, only really movies and shows that have a pretty high baseline vocabulary.

I can’t say that I do but thank you for your post because I think I’ll try it out for myself! I COMPLETELY RELATE with what you said about struggling to talk to people. Sometimes my thoughts & feelings get so jumbled in my mind as I try to say them that I’m pretty sure I sound like a blabbering idiot most of the time. I struggle to come up with the right words to use & overall, I just can’t seem to articulate myself verbally anymore, at least not in a linear or cohesive way that makes any logical sense or that even allows for my point to be made. Then as I’m talking, I get more & more insecure just thinking about how dumb I prob sound which only makes it all worse. Do you get that too?.. Anyway, it’s become a huge problem for me (as I’m sure you know) and I tend to just keep things to myself now more than I’d like to because sometimes just the idea of how I’m going to “say” what I need to say is too overwhelming, so I don’t even try. Maybe I’m way off & you meant something totally different, lol, but either way thanks because I’m gonna try your watching a movie before attempting an important convo trick to see if it helps😁 And good luck to you w everything💛
