Everyone I know that only works part time (or doesn’t at all), does everything at the last minute, or finishes only the bare minimum required are gamers. Anyone else noticed the people they know who eat out the most, clean the least, rarely leave the house, and sleep the longest are their gamer friends?

Lazy people are attracted to gaming as it is a quick way to feel accomplishment, so it is sort of the other way around.
Be prepared for some offended parties to gather in this thread, they don’t like being called out.
Correlation does not equal causation but there is a REACHING argument that could be made about having something to do with the way video games affect your brain chemistry.
That being said video games are my favorite hobby and I’m the exact opposite of what you just described.
It’s just you dawg. Me and my gamer friends work 6-7 days a week and also take care of their family.
People with ADHD are often drawn to gaming
Anyone that I know who works part time is in college and I’ve met plenty of people who do what you described and don’t game.
I know gamers that work full time jobs and are in varying degrees of fitness but are in good shape for the most part.
When I was in my 20s I did plenty of gaming but I also got trough college, worked part-time while in college and got as many hours as possible during breaks and kept in decent shape, after college I completed several marathons.
I don’t game so much now because my main focus is my family now.
I think people being lazy has several contributing factors, particularly upbringing, depression, getting into bad habits and some people just make excuses.
I know more people that I would consider lazy that don’t game but are couch potatoes and doom scrollers, can’t or don’t cook for themselves. Some of them used to be very self motivated people some of them are used to having everything done for them, I’ve had to show a man in his 30s how to use a washing machine and how to correctly wash dishes and he doesn’t game.
Nope. I don’t know any gamers.
Maybe it’s just because they have more time to game. I do work part time, but I have a schedule that changes (I’ll work 7am to 3pm one day and 5 pm to 9 pm another) and it’s a job that is a lot of walking and also picking up heavy things sometimes to stock and I’m in my mid 40s and don’t quite have the energy I used to so I’m very tired by the time I get home and make dinner and wash up so I barely play anymore.
