DAE Has anyone successfully reduced man boobs? If so, please share the techniques they used and whether exercises were involved

r/

I feel self-conscious about having man boobs, which has been negatively impacting my enjoyment of life. I’m 31 years old, and whenever friends notice them, they make light-hearted comments that leave me feeling uneasy. This discomfort prevents me from wearing the clothes I like and fully embracing my life. The constant awareness of my shape weighs heavily on my mind, making it hard to feel confident in social settings. I often avoid activities I once enjoyed, like swimming or going to the beach, because I dread the attention it draws. The emotional toll is exhausting, and I struggle daily with low self-esteem as a result.

    GLP-1 meds (Mounjaro) would help.

If you have actual breast tissue (gynocomastia) only surgery will get rid of it. If you are overweight and it is only fatty tissue, then you cannot spot reduce only that area, you must lower your overall bodyfat through diet and exercise, the moobs will gradually reduce as your overall bodyfat reduces.

Just wear a rash guard… My husband is no longer participating in swimming because she is self conscious about his body, even though he has always been a big guy (hasn’t gained a ton of weight) since like the 6th grade where he shot up to 5’11 and 250 lbs… He’s a bit heavier now, but He absolutely has man boobs and only surgery will fix it. You can consider wearing a compression top, but please, as a Plus size person, don’t let what other think of you stop you from enjoying life.

I know some one personally who was in great shape
Had some hormonal issues and then had breast tissue in that case exercise would only do so much
He opted for some lipo after he got hormones in check and desired weight loss

If your heavy consider getting down to a good weight and let your body re composition to a decent level of muscle mass and maintain your weight and activities then consider getting some lipo or other treatments for that type of thing.

If you feel like you have actual breast tissue rather than some meat on your chest get your bloods done to check for hormones.

I had one boob on one side. Really did a number on my confidence for many years. Had it surgically removed. Never thought about it since!

Asses whether or not it’s gyno and how far along! If it is you can look at chest masculinization techniques used by trans men (trust me those guides are the most extensive and applicable to any level of masc person with boob problems, cis or trans) and all of that should set you on the right path.

If its not gyno you are still totally allowed to use those techniques! I know a few men who use binders even tho they’re cis and just on the heavier side. It’s just that surgery wouldn’t be on the table if it isn’t gyno.

If youhave any questions reach out! You’re not alone op. No matter what I hope you find a way to feel comfortable in your body.

Are you fat or have a medical condition?

I switched to zero soda and started jogging. My moobs has gone down considerably.
