DAE need to take a shower even just to be able to do things around the house and not stay in bed

r/

A shower is mando if I’m going out the house. But even if I’m just taking out the dishes, I feel it’s easier to do so when I’m clean and dressed, even though I might as well do it when I’m dirty so I’m not potentially dirtying myself when I’m clean

It makes it even more difficult to comprehend how people like Brad Pitt and Ashton Kutcher can do with just an occasional baby wipe. I’m not even the type of person to promote leg washing as a necessity, but that’s just pushing it!

A shower after waking up is like it’s own cup of coffee. I feel better, have more energy, and I don’t feel grimey and nasty. The hot water relaxes sore or tense muscles. I’m definitely more productive after a shower.

I have to shower every morning. No exceptions. I feel gross if I don’t. I will even shower and put pjs back on if i’m just staying home, but I HAVE to shower.

I can’t stand not taking a shower in the morning. I have to or I just feel weird

I don’t do anything until I take a shower after getting out of bed. If I don’t have someplace to be I’ll stay in bed not doing anything until I decide to take a shower.

Yea I look for things to do and showering is one of them. But I read that we probably shower too much – oil on our skin is good for us

100%. If I don’t have my morning shower, even putting away last night’s dishes can feel like an impossible task

    Absolutely. I won’t get anything done if I don’t take a shower. I can’t feel or be productive if I don’t take a shower.

The single biggest indicator of the progression of my depression is the amount of showers I take.

Yes, I shower every morning and bathe every night. I don’t do it for anyone but myself. I feel better after both.

While I like showers, I don’t really think that way anymore. When I broke my leg, I didn’t shower for a month, I lived alone. Eventually I put a trash bag on my cast and taped it shut, sat on a milk crate and took a shower.
