I chalk it up to sheer laziness. It’s a good way to put off laundry for a few more days, and it’s not like you can easily see a hole at the bottom of my heel anyway.
Of course, if I reckon I’ll be in bed with a woman later that night, I’ll definitely go for the crisp pair of fresh undies lol. But aside from that, I don’t see the big deal.

I’m a bit OCD about my socks and the second I see a hole, or even that the fabric is getting pretty thin, they go in the garbage.
Recently I decided if I see a hole it gets thrown away.
I heard a psychologist said the state of your underwear and socks tells you how you feel about yourself. How would you feel if someone had to pack for you?
Since I heard that, I’m more scrupulous about my underthings.
Yes but not near my wife. She will rip them while on and forcing me to end their existence
I wear socks with holes, that doesn’t bother me. Underwear however, I will throw it away if it gets a hole.
I cannot. It makes me wildly uncomfortable and I can’t focus all day.
Holes? Holes mean that it goes in the garbage.
Yeah, I noticed that fruit of the loom had a recent ad campaign encouraging people to stop wearing beat up underwear…must be pretty common
I totally do. I think there’s some weird psychological component to it in my case, almost like a hoarder, because sometimes that was the good sock so I’ll wear if for as long as possible. I’ll throw it out if the hole starts bothering me (like if it’s on the toe lol). I feel kinda guilty about throwing things away tho, because of the environment, and have you heard about the clothes cemetery in the desert or whatever? Seems that fabric waste is a real thing, apparently. I also wear undies with holes if I know nobody is gonna see them.
But now someone said what if there’s an emergency and people have to go through your drawers and that made me pause. But honestly there’s so much shady shit around my drawers that them seeing holes in a couple panties would be the least of my worries. Also, if someone is close enough to do that, they prolly know me well enough to take it in stride anyways.
