My father instilled the fear in me when I was very young. Told all kinds of stories about his family friend who always sat in front of the microwave, and then got brain cancer and died.
I’ve been living alone for quite a few years now, but literally live in fear of those waves. If my head does get close to the microwave while its on, I literally feel like I can feel the radiation entering me.
I swear I’m not weird about stuff like this, this is literally the only one.

No microwave radiation is leaving your microwave.
Microwaves are non ionizing. It had nothing to do with someone getting cancer.
It’s not that kind of “radiation”
No i dont/cant but i do also let other humans instill false concepts into my conscience that are difficult for me to detach from.
No. My mother used to believe that nonsense too. It’s old school, 1970s fear.
Why not just remove the microwave?
Microwaves use radio waves, not ionizing (like nuclear weapons, nuclear power plants, mutatey kind) radiation.
You know how microwaves always have that grid in the window? That stops the waves from escaping.
I can feel it too! I know it’s all in my head but I’ve been conditioned for fear lol
