Like I grew up without having a community gathering place like a church, mosques, etc…
To me as not having grown up with one, the lore sounds so obviously fake, but I can’t help but wonder what it’s like to unironically believe that stuff within an organized network of people and institutions.

You’re caught in a web of circular logic where it’s much more comfortable to play along. That’s why it’s successful. You have to cause disruptions in order to leave and not everyone is the disruptive type.
I grew up in Utah as a non Mormon. It was rather interesting in many ways… also very annoying
I work as a nurse in a place like that.
