On a whim I decided to look up if Shel Silverstein was black.
The crazy thing is I know that I’ve researched it before, and learned he was Jewish, but yet I still keep thinking he was black.
(I’m almost 36 years old — for context)
Which begs the question: why did we think he was black? Is this an example of a Mandela Effect?

It was his photo on one of his book jackets. It was high contrast and he definitely looked black to me.
