I picked my daughter up for the weekend and as we got down the road-she says she wants to live with me forever and see her mom on the weekends. I asked her why and she said “when I’m at mommy’s, (brother) hits me and is always mean to me and mommy doesn’t do anything when I tell on him, then he says no and that I’m a liar” what should I do in the situation?

If your daughter has injuries, seek medical treatment.
Otherwise, speak to the mother. This is a co-parenting issue. Ask for mediation if you can’t resolve it on your own.
A 6 year old probably can’t testify in a custody proceeding, even assuming you’d want to put her through that.
Open communication. You don’t want to remove a mother from your daughter‘s life- she’s too young to understand the implications. Just talk it through.
I grew up with a brother constantly hitting and punching me. The school tried to stop it. My parents took no action. He grew up hitting every woman he was involved with.
Is the brother 5? 7? 25?
