I bought a car from a dealership that told me it was in perfect condition. Didn’t even drive the car for 5 minutes and freaked out because the car wasn’t driving correctly. They took the car back and had their mechanic “fix it”, which included working with the timing chain. When I finally got it back, the car broke down with my family in it in 100 degree weather. I called the dealership and they said to tow it to them and they would give me a refund. Now the dealership is saying they won’t give me a refund unless I take down the BBB review I had made. They still have the car because it won’t turn on and refuse to give me a refund. So now I have no car and have to pay off the loan every month. Any advice? This was a VERY short explanation, but the dealership has terrible communication, kept pushing deadlines back constantly, always taking back their word, said Firestone lies about the problems the car had, etc.

NAL, contact the police and inform them that the dealership refuses to return the vehicle or give you a refund as promised because of the BBB complaint.
Get a lawyer
Lemon law
If you have things in writing that the dealership is giving you a refund and still holding your car, make a formal police complaint and also find a local lawyer to send them a notice.
Honestly others have said how to handle this but reviews / bbb are for after transaction is complete or you hit an impass.
If you go and put something negative while your actively resolving an issue you’re setting yourself up for headaches.
Take it down get a refund and then post a new review?
Contact your state police and Secretary of State office.
I think if you don’t do what they say, you might be able to get back the car legally, but not the refund, and it sounds like you’d rather have the refund than the car.
